Healthy Vegan Thanksgiving Recipe Ideas

This weekend is Thanksgiving in Canada, so I thought I'd post some ideas - and for those of you in the US, you can have a practice Thanksgiving meal or just start planning ahead.

In addition to the menu and food you're going to eat, the social aspect of Thanksgiving and holiday meals can bring up questions.

I actually find Thanksgiving and holiday meals a lot more fun as a vegan because I can enjoy more of the sides without leaving the table overly stuffed.

If I think about a typical Thanksgiving meal, it consists of a main dish (usually turkey), stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, biscuits, green beans and pumpkin pie for dessert.

I would normally say that you can go ahead and think outside the box and make a soup, or a salad or any other dish you like to make a creative new menu for your holiday meal, but for this week I'm going to give you some healthy and vegan alternatives to those traditional dishes.

Main Dish (Turkey alternatives)

Stuffing

Mashed Potatoes

Gravy

Cranberry Sauce

Sweet Potatoes

Biscuits

Green Beans

Pumpkin Pie
