It was the kind of morning that needed a special treat, so I made Angela’s carrot cake oatmeal from OhSheGlows.com – but with steel cut instead of rolled oats.

It was just as delicious with the steel cut oats, but much more porridge-y because I used lots of water to cook them. I also put the raisins right in the oats while they cooked, so that they got really soft.
