Sweet potato smoothie recipes have been floating around me for a while now, and I wanted to try one.

I love sweet potato, and thought it sounded like a new fun way to enjoy one of my favorite foods.

Plus, it’s nice to have recipes for sweet potatoes that stand on their own as snacks or breakfasts, rather than just being the side dish at a huge holiday meal.

Sweet potatoes are super nutritious on their own, but are often made with lots of sugar and heaviness around the holidays.

I’ve heard of this sweet-potato-marshmallow phenomenon, too, which I have to say as someone who didn’t grow up with that dish – it sounds pretty strange.

Anyway, making your yummy sweet potato into a smoothie is a nice healthy way to enjoy them, and as you know I love to throw fresh sprouts into anything I can, so I bumped it up another notch with them!

I was also thinking it would be really nice with a few little additions that I’ll list in the recipe…
